| Anakin may look like a normal boy, but he is very special and gifted. A natural mechanic, Anakin has keen intuition with electronic equipment and seems to sense what repairs an engine might need. Never far from a set of tools, he has secretly built his own custom Pod and is skilled at building droids, too. Anakin is also incredibly strong with the Force, although he has never been made aware of his potential. Living in humble slave quarters, he longs to become a star pilot and experience a world of adventure. Hopeful, optimistic, and good-hearted, Anakin dreams of gaining his freedom and training to become a Jedi. After meeting the Jedi Master Qui-Gon Jinn, both of his wishes come true. | The mother and solitary parent of young Anakin Skywalker. Her son was born without a father, and possibly was conceived by the microscopic organisms, Midichlorians, that give people the accessibility to the Force. Also enslaved by Watto, Shmi Skywalker is a kind and brave woman who has instilled in her son a thoughtful nature. | Watto is a junk dealer in the slave town of Mos Espa on the Planet Tatooine which is ruled by the gangster's, the Hutts. A Toydarian, Watto has a sharp mind for business and is not easily tricked, even Jedi Mind Tricks don't fool this string-minded individual. Watto is also a gambler and counts the slaves Shmi and Anakin Skywalker amoung his winnings from Gardulla the Hutt. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| A Dug from Malastare who drives a distinctive split-X Racing Pod. It is said that in all Mos Espa, there is no better Pod pilot than Sebulba. He is famous for the legendary "Boonta Classic" race which is held in Boonta Eve. The race is said to be designed by Sebulba himself. This aggressive alien will stop at nothing to win a race. He uses dirty racer's tricks and adds certain illegal "modifications" to his high-performance Pod--For example, flamethrowers are mounted on his split-X engine, ready to cook unwary competitors! The only thing that delights Sebulba more than winning a Podrace is watching the demise of another racer. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

 | One of the galaxy's top criminal underlords, Jabba the Hutt has been in charge of a major criminal empire since he was about 600 years old. He moved to Tatooine and became part of the Hutt monarchy of the planet. He established himself a palace built around the ancient monastery of B'ommar monks. Its centerpiece is a huge throne room where Jabba constantly entertains and holds court from his high dais at one end of the room. Jabba's criminal empire knows no bounds.
